Mantec are proud to announce a new product which they hope will help to alleviate any issues when opening and closing the safari tailgate door on your Land Rover Defender. This easy-to-install kit comes complete with an adjustable gas strut to enable a fine tuning depending on the weight of your door. For example; generally vehicles without spare wheels will close more easily than those with a heavy spare with a large tyre attached although with our gas strut kit both instance should open and close nice and softly.

This kit is manufactured in the UK and all steel brackets come E-coated and powder coated in automotive black and comes complete with a stailess steel fitting kit courtesy of YRM Metal.

There are two brackets, one mounted to the door and the other utilises the bolt holes from the grab handle in the roof space of the Defender. Please note if your vehicle doesn't have a headlining/grab handle then you will have to drill two small holes to enable fitment.
