Product Information
Stocks of the original Td5/Tdci switch are getting harder to find, which is a big problem if your existing Defender hazard switch has stopped working or your trying to retro fit a dashboard to a Defender with the old style switches.
The good news is there is an alternative!
Step forward the MG Rover Hazard switch. This switch used in the Rover 200 25, is the exact same switch as used in the post 2001 Defenders. The only difference being that is designed to fit in a portrait dashboard hole not a landscape one. The wiring of the switch is exactly the same as the Defender wiring, so if you are replacing your warn out hazard it will plug straight into the existing housing connector, with no adaptation of the wiring required.
The drawback is that the hazard logo is now at 45 degrees, however given there are currently no other options for factory sized hazard switches we think this is liveable alternative which solves a big problem. It also massively cheaper than the Land Rover switch so you'll be making a tidy saving too.
The MG Hazard switches will fit the dashboards shown (note the hazard pictured in these pictures is the original LR switch).
